Haydock Sports College celebrates GCSE results

Tuesday 24th August 2010 saw Haydock Sports College achieve their highest ever GCSE results including English and Maths - a staggering 46% - exceeding challenging targets set in relation to students’ expected performance by more than 10%.

Overall the number of students gaining five grade A* - C was a fantastic 58% with a large number of students achieving grades beyond their expectations.

Many of these grades were attributed to the hard work and intervention which the College provided to students who just needed that little bit more assistance to achieve what the College had recognised as their potential.

Some of the outstanding individual results were achieved by the following pupils:
