Achievement of the week

Congratulations to Amy Mellors in Year 10 for outstanding work in ICT.

We place a great deal of emphasis on two areas of school life. Firstly, to identify and react to the individual needs of every student. A great deal of collegial work goes on between ourselves and our partner Primary Schools. The high quality collaboration, preparation, teaching and learning during our Summer school, a fundamental belief in PERSONAL BEST for all, our RSA Opening Minds project curriculum and our one to one mentoring of students enhances all our other work.

This does not happen in isolation and our second aim, to develop a strong team ethic involving primary teachers, parents, students, governors, colleagues and local network providers remains a strong focus.

Our sporting and academic success continues but they must not allow us to become complacent.

I am proud of the work which takes place within Haydock High School, a true reflection of the dedication of our teaching and support staff.

Although admissions are controlled by St Helens LA, please feel free to contact us if you would like a tour around College, including our City Learning Centre.

Year Heads and members of the Senior Leadership Team will be pleased to provide you with further details should you have such a request.
